Me.
cheddite 3", ch209, 35.5 gr lilgun, 437.5gr total. Precision Tested with crimp at this powder, more with roll crimp, #3 steel. I pull 1/8oz of shot and replace with TSS #9.5.
Here's a blog page I wrote on TSS/steel duplex loads and calcs, 20ga.
https://pipesf16.wordpress.com/tsssteel ... alcs-20ga/

You can also browse around there under the HighDensity and 20ga headers for more analysis of duplex loads and this 20ga load.

Dave, what wad are you using with this load?

Phillip, that one is the SAM1.
For steel shot in 20ga the SAM1 really gives you both the most shot, and the most protection. The only other two options really are:
1. PT2092 wad. This wad has hmm 4? loads from BPI, all the same but just 1/2gr less powder, using 420gr of steel shot. The fastest/most powder of them is 38gr LilGun and has given wad burn-through for both the guys I know who have shot it, and picked up the wads, and both got bad/erratic patterns from that. Therefore, they glue on a small disc of plastic to that wad to increase the strength of the web so you don't get burn through. I've got examples of cutting out the plastic on my blog on a page for making wad fillers, I use bacon sheet plastic. But I don't like this wad as good as the SAM1.
-- while I would rather use my own tested SAM1 load, it IS based on this published pt2092 BPI load just using the SAM1 wad. My buddy Joe likes this 2092 load and shoots it mostly. Both him and dla have used the 37gr lilgun version without any wad burn through and with good patterns. Once I tried making the discs and glueing them onto the wad (powder cup side), it only took 5 min to do 100 or so, so maybe I should go pattern this again.

2. New wad, the tall B&P 20ga wad that BPI is selling as "CSD203". They have only issued like 10 loads with the wad. I called for more info and got an email from Jonathan with some loads they've tested but hadn't published... that was a year ago, I don't know if they've published them yet, but it's basically 426 gr of steel shot using #BB and #2 shot strangely, and with 8gr of buffer! Wierd, and not needed for steel I'd think. I bought a bag as I love the CSD20. I would use their 426gr load, use #2 or #3 shot, skip the buffer. I haven't loaded or shot any of these things yet, just built "fit loads" to see what all would work... I need to go pattern them too. It's possible these would work better in an invector barrel (larger) than the SAM1 wads.
