CZ 28 ga, TruLock .520 Super Full choke

Postby hawglips » Sat Oct 29, 2016 3:48 pm

I got Trulock to make me a .520 Super Full choke for turkeys.

Here's what it looks like at 40 yds, with my 1-1/2 oz load of 9-1/2s. Shot two shells as follows:

Shell one:
10" - 274
10-20" - 201

Shell two:
10" - 252
10-20" - 253

Looking good! do you use TruLockfor most of your extended tubes in your 28ga?

Roll with it. If you stay above 55 the wheel wont fall off.

No, this is the first Trulock I've ever tried in it. I've been using either the factory flush mount full choke (in the Franchi) or a Briley XF (.520) in the CZ. I had to special order this one from Trulock. But it shoots so well, I'm going to try one in the Franchi and the Ithaca also.

I have never purchased an expensive choke for TSS before. It shoots so well, I just haven't ever bothered. But there's a big enough difference with this choke, and since the 28 is my go-to turkey gun, it's inspired me to try them also in my other 28s.

Here's the way the Trulock .520 with the 1-1/2 oz of 9-1/2s handles turkeys....
