Anybody Using Re-cycled Tungsten Carbide Balls?

Postby mchughcb » Sun Feb 07, 2021 6:51 am

My mate works in the mining game and when the drill bits and roadheader picks are worn down and ready for disposal he has been sending them to a place that recycles them. I'm waiting for a price for 10kg of #7 shot. The density is 15.96g/cc but obviously ultra hard.

Question to any of the members have they tried this recycled tungsten carbide before? No doubt you'd need plenty of telfon wraps to prevent bore contact.
