Help with 12ga TSS turkey load

Postby Fireman5045 » Tue Jan 19, 2021 8:44 am

This is my first post here so please be kind to some possible ignorant questions. As anyone knows, currently reloading supplies are tough to get hands on right now. I’ve got some supplies that I don’t think are ideal for TSS turkey loads but I wanted to see if I can make something happen with what I have. The only thing I’ve got left to get is the actual TSS shot which I understand hawglips is the guy to see. I just don’t wanna drop the cash till I know I’m gonna be able to make something happen with what I have. So here is what I have

Powder: Longshot and Titewad
Primers: Federal
Hulls: 2-3/4” Remington premier one piece tapered hulls (the gold ones)

I’ve been reloading for years both shotgun and metallic so I’m not new to it but I’ve never messed with TSS. If it’s not possible then it is what it is. If it is possible there are more questions I have. Thanks.

Also, if it comes down to it, I’ve got some 3” federal steel shot ammo that I used this duck season and some 2-3/4” federal upland loads which I believe are both straight wall with fiber bases. I’m happy to shoot some to use the hulls if needed
