Tristar Viper G2 410 choke & pattern
I was playing around with chokes and Hal's 5/8 oz 410 duplex load ... 1/2 oz TSS 9.5s x 1/8 oz steel #4s. Cylinder choke was still alittle too tight for my liking at 40 yards. I ran across a Comp-N-Choke Negative .005 choke in Beretta Mobil threads. I think we have a winner here !!

We took a hunting trip Friday & Saturday after Thanksgiving to the Outer Banks of N.C. .... in the Currituck Sound. Friday was a bust, but after the fog lifted Saturday morning we had a good little green wing teal shoot
I was shooting Hal's duplex 410 loads. My buddy was shooting the new Federal Black Cloud TSS 3 x 9 duplex loads in 12 gauge. We were 1 short of a 2 man limit
The outside decoys were at 35 yards .... you can see how far out those 410 loads can roll a teal ....the wind was calm and both ducks pretty much stayed in place while my dog Annie retrieved them ?

Rottford, Your patterns look great.
I’m searching for the best choke for my 410 Tristar Viper and plan to shoot the same 5/8 oz duplex load. Is the model number of the Comp-n-Choke you are using CBer410?

Yes, but call Stuart at Comp-N-Choke before you place your order .... 888-875-7906. There are 2 different thread types on that part number. I had to return the first choke with my factory choke so he could send me back the right choke. The choke I got was Negative -.005

Very nice!
I grew up hunting Currituck, mostly an 800 acre section of marsh on the north end.

Had no clue that there was negative choke. I see where it would be helpfull in smallbore TSS. Almost "blunderbuss" effect.
Thanks for the info and congrats on the hunts... hell of a job.
