Hi,
I’m using the below data for my 20 gauge.
My question is I’m currently using B&p 24 wads which seem very thin walled.
I have sam1s and TPS wads so my question is could these be a replacement for the B&p wad currently used.
28g 7 TSS18
20 gauge Cheddite 69mm
Xx grains A steel
B&P 24 wad
Felt and cork packers
Mylar
Many thanks

Could be... where did you get your recipe, and what's the pressure and speed?

So 9920 psi, pretty good gap below saami MAP 12000. And euro specs is even higher I think.
I have used sam1 wad instead of csd20 in steel shot loads, and got lower pressures. The tps20 is actually the gualandi tubo wad, which has the rings around it. Both wads are good, tougher than the csd i.e. b&pwad, and would work. I would just replace load with whichever wad you want, send it for a test, should be pretty close to same results.
