NC tundra swan

Postby hawglips » Wed Jan 22, 2020 9:12 am

I drew a swan permit in NC this year, and hunted this past Saturday near the Pungo NWR.

Here's a video of the one I killed (28 ga Franchi AL48, 7/8 oz of 7-1/2 TSS)....

There were six of us hunting together that morning, and all six tagged one...

5 out of 6 were juveniles, so it looks like they had good production last year...

Great shooting that big bird folded like a beach chair! Did you go with an outfitter? I've been wanting to get on one of those.
