Good luck to everyone
Good luck to everyone hunting the early goose season. It opens here in bama on the first. They have added more days to hunt and we seem to have a lot of birds. I've got some spiked steel tss loads I plan on trying out and if the birds cooperate I'll report back.

Didn't have a lot of opportunities but did manage to scratch out five. The first one was backpedaling at about 40 yds, missed the first shot hit with the second bird swam off and had to be cleaned up. Next was a pretty good group knocked three down first one was a cripple other two were stone dead these were a pretty good poke. Next group scratched out one and was a cripple these were a little farther. All in all I think I'm going to like shooting these spiked steel loads. Will update again when I get a little more info.

1 oz load in a 2 3/4 fiocchi hull you sent using .3 oz #8 tss and .7 #5 steel. The patterns are outstanding and I feel like the #8 tss is plenty so far.

7/8 oz. I try to use as simple a load as possible just so I don't mess them up.

Got to shoot a few more geese this weekend. Killed 5 and got a bonus bluewing. All were shot well inside 40 yards. 2 of the geese we're dead right there 3 had to be cleaned up, the little bluewing didnt stand a chance. The other guy with me was shooting 1 1/8 oz #2 factory loads at 1600 some fps and had similar results 3 drt 2 cleanups. I am definitely not feeling undergunned with the 20.
