For your 12 gauge loads, are you using 1/4 oz TSS and the rest of the payload is steel?
Are you using 7/8 oz steel wads for the 1.0 oz duplex load, and 1.0 oz wads for the 1.125 oz duplex load? All the above is sort of what I do. Unfortunately I have to pay full retail price for my components, including TSS.

Those two were tested at the lab with 1/4 oz of TSS under the steel. Yes, on the wads....

Hawglips,

I’m very interested in loads for Teal to Mallards in 28 ga.

I currently duck hunt with commercially made Federal Premium Heavyweight Turkey loads (20 ga, 1 1/2 oz #6 - 15gr/cc). I find these very effective on ducks out to 70+ yds. These loads shoot pretty darn tight at close ranges, but the trade off is great range and dishrag dead ducks.

I would love to have a 28 gauge load with similar effectiveness using TSS or a combo of TSS and Bismuth or Steel.

I haven’t reloaded for the last few years and only have equipment for 12 ga, but would be happy to set up for 28 ga to produce a great load in 28 ga for ducks. Can you get me set up with such a load? Thanks

You been busy. That 28 GA load looks interesting. The 20 GA 1 1/4 looks good as well. That 20 with tss 6 would be a goose getting machine. Marty

Nice. Most too heavy for me, but the 7/8 oz look good.
