Thinking of a SXS

Postby Fishh2o » Fri Apr 15, 2016 10:06 am

Im thinking of picking up a 20ga or a 28ga SXS. Just curious if you guys have any thoughts on models and makes... I would prefer to keep it under 1500 and a used one is not out of the question.

Roll with it. If you stay above 55 the wheel wont fall off.

I'm not a fan of the SxS, but it's mostly because of eye dominance issues that make it hard to see "down" the thing.

However, several guys at my skeet range have them, and I studied them a bit last year.
One good model that is available is the Dickinson, sold at Cabelas, in 20 and 28 ga, for around $1400-1500. It's very nice. Made in Turkey I believe, but good work.

I have a C/Z Sharptail in 28 gauge. It will see its first action in 2 weeks, I hope.
I had it dipped and happy with how it turned out. Added Trulock chokes.
