Im new to the forum, a novice hand loader and new to TSS. My primary interest in TSS is for coyote hunting, I participate in several derbys amd am looking to make my shotgun as lethal as possible.
I eventually may expand into loading for waterfowl and turkey, but as of right now I dont do a lot of waterfowl hunting, and primarily hunt turkeys with a bow.
Im located in Central IL
Look forward to learning a lot!

Welcome to Tungsten Super Shots!

I have reloaded TSS shot for coyotes in sizes #1,#2,#3 and #4. I really like the TSS #3 shot. It gives you plenty of penetration with more than enough pellets for coyotes.

Below is a comparison of lead BB shot and TSS #3 shot. For coyotes I use 3.70" of gel penetration to reliably kill or breakdown coyotes in the KPY Shotshell Ballistics program.

1300 fps lead BB shot gets 3.70" of gel penetration at 46.1 yards, with 77 pellets in 1-1/2 oz loads.
1300 fps TSS #3 shot gets 3.70" of gel penetration at 96.8 yards, with 100 pellets in 1-1/2 oz loads.

If you can't get TSS #3 shot then go with TSS #4 shot for coyotes.
