TSS through .410 "Lead Only" Choke Tubes
I have a Ugartechea .410 SxS manufactured in 1970. It currently has fixed IC/M chokes. I would like to have Colonial Chokes thread the barrels for their flush mount "True Size" choke tubes. It appears that their .410 chokes tubes are all "lead only" rated. Is it ok to shoot TSS 9.5 through lead only choke tubes? I read once on the Trulock website that as long as you didn't go tighter than Full any tungsten/iron shot was okay. I would not go tighter than Full. Thanks!

Re: TSS through .410 "Lead Only" Choke Tubes
My rule of thumb with shooting TSS is this - if you have a barrel or choke that you couldn't bear to see a scratch in, don't shoot steel, hevishot, heavyweight or TSS through it.
However, I personally have no problem shooting small TSS through lead only choke tubes - even tight turkey chokes.
