TSS velocity
So, I was reading a post on DHC about the velocity of steel and the patterns. When is it so fast that the pattern blows out compared to when its fast enough to kill? I thought it would be a good idea to discuss velocities of TSS and what the benefits are of faster or slower TSS loads. Duplex loads are a different story and we can discuss it later. Its almost turkey season!
Roll with it. If you stay above 55 the wheel wont fall off.

Re: TSS velocity
I have received reports of wider patterns when the velocity gets up around 1600 fps. I haven't played much with that sort of speed.

My 28 ga loads are very heavy, so there's no choice but to load them slow - 1000 fps to 1025 fps.
There are some sweet spots up over 1200 fps for turkey loads that you find sometimes.
